1963: The Crystals “He’s A Rebel” enters the charts. Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans “Why Do Lovers Break Each Others Hearts” b/w “Dr. Kaplan’s Office” released on Philles Records.
1964: The Beach Boys’ “Shut Down, Vol. 2” LP is released, which debuts “Don’t Worry Baby” on side one, track two. This song is the product of Brian Wilson’s new obsession with the productions of Phil Spector, especially The Ronettes’ “Be My Baby.”
